Just as we’d finished marveling at the minimalist stylings and slick gesture controls of the iOS apps Solar and Rise, we’ve been greeted with yet another contender for best-looking weather app. Haze, the new collaborative effort by developers Robocat and Taptanium.
Showcasing fluid animations and a clever audiovisual interface, Haze sets the bar of how developers can incorporate an attractive display without sacrificing the overall functionality of your everyday application. Operated by intuitive swipe and tap gestures, users can access the weekly forecast, expand the days high and lows or check wind chill, speed and direction.
Because of it’s distinctly minimal aesthetic, Haze might not offer the vast amounts of data users usually expect from a traditional weather app. But what it does provide is a smart, interactive way to gather important weather information, without overwhelming you with data that you don’t require. Haze is now available to download from the iTunes App Store at a limited-time cost of 99¢.
