According to statistics, half of Australia's population will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. In response, a new project called Half Of Us is raising money to help the cause with a half day illustration marathon. The project was initiated by Australian-based illustrator Karan Singh and designer Ashleigh Leech, and will see the artists create 12 illustrations in 12 hours, from 9am to 9pm on Saturday 27th August. Prints of the designs will then be sold, and the money raised will go to the Australia Cancer Council. Singh runs a side project, The Daily Quickies, where he creates an illustration every day of the week in less than an hour. Having gathered a following through this personal project, it’s great to see the concept has now been brought to a wider audience for a good cause.
