To celebrate their 50th anniversary, home wear and design store Habitat have launched a high concept Vintage Village located at the heart of Paris' renowned Puces de Saint-Ouen (St Ouen flea market). The space offers punters the chance to buy and sell pieces of furniture and accessories from the 1960s onwards and individuals are given an opportunity to resell their items by submitting a description to a panel on the site.

Founded in 1964 by Terence Conran, the collection includes a coffee table designed by Daft Punk, and items from designers Jean Nouvel and Pierre Paulin. All the products are original, dating from their time of creation.

With the decline of the highstreet, the space responds to the growing need for brands to provide a more immersive environment to entice shoppers away from online retail and into the real world. It successfully offers individuals the opportunity to revisit the brand's heritage while also celebrating the iconic products that have marked its design history
