We first told you about Google doing a Groupon, and now they’re doing a Spotify by launching a music service. Google Music, currently in beta, has been a rumour doing the rounds as early as June last year, where it has since been in talks with music labels to secure the rights to stream hundreds of thousands of tracks.

Currently Google's Music Beta is only available to users in the United States in an invite-only basis, but will surely be rolled out to the public soon. The service will be available on Android devices via the web, see a screenshot via Mashable above. Running much like Spotify, users will be able to customize playlists, run on Android devices such as tablets and mobiles, listen offline, and wirelessly sync playlists. Rumour has it, Apple is next in line and are in talks with labels... iPhone 5 plus Apple Music perhaps?
