There's a lot of guilt inherent in recycling, or at least feelings bad for the amount we throw away . Did you put that yoghurt pot in the right bin? Will anyone notice you didn't take those clothes all the way to the charity shop and just left them by the bins instead? Things like that.

Thankfully Dutch designers Waarmakers have come up with a solution to calm the nerves anxious environmentalists everywhere. These bags act as a compromise between the convenience of throwing unwanted, yet usable things straight in the bin and the effort involved in setting up and arranging an entry on Freecycle.

Goedzak (meaning 'Do-Gooder') bags can be left with regular bin bags, awaiting pick up but their transparency and eye catching design means that should a passerby like the look of something in the bag, they're welcome to take it away, knowing that because it is in a Goedzak it's simply unwanted, not unusable.
