In February, to coincide with London Fashion Week, we held a forum at our 31 New Inn Yard studio space investigating the impact of production technology on the fashion industry, and the increasingly collaborative relationship between consumers and retailers.  

“When it comes to fashion, millenials really do want their opinion taken into account," explained London College of Fashion lecturer Rachel Cosford. While Kirsty Emmery, co-founder of fashion design studio Knyttan, stressed the desire for individuality as one of the main drivers in co-creation’s popularity.

Also at the event was Jack Young, from live design and print boutique YR Store, who emphasised the continuing importance of designers for brands. YR Store also brought along one of their printing machines to provide custom-print tote bags on the night.
