Flow
Aimed at the BMX and skateboard market, Red Bull's latest app helps aspiring trick reel directors catch the perfect trick.
Red Bull are yet again increasing their ever-expanding portfolio, further asserting themselves as a powerhouse of the action sports scene by introducing its Flow app to the iPhone and Android market. Currently targeted at BMXriders and skateboarders, the app is designed to shoot and share tricks througha ‘flow’ of content, perfect for the rising number amongst us who document everything on their mobile phone.Tricks can either be filmed using the Red Bull Flow camera or imported directly from your library, and then appropriately ‘tagged’ with riders, tricks, team, location or any other social media-relevant or trend-worthy subject, and published to Flow and Facebook. The app allows you to upload individual clips, which it then converts into a seamless ‘flow’ of video, ready to share with the world. It’s a bold move – attempting to change up the fairly saturated YouTube market of 1-trick home-shot clips, but with Red Bull’s dedicated fanbase and so many stalwarts of the action sports scene branded with the Red Bull logo, there’s guaranteed to be some hype.
