Expedia has been rolling out their Find Yours campaign in different directions since last summer. They partnered with the National Film Festival of Talented Youth and asked up-and-coming filmmakers to explore the Find Yours theme through a video contest. Then this winter Expedia produced a series of rather heartfelt Find Yours shorts. Now the travel bookings website is inviting Facebook users to participate in the Find Yours campaign through a new app.
The app takes users' Facebook and Instagram photos and plots them in Google Maps. A series of other options, like filters and music, help to flesh out the narrative. The end result is a nicely produced slideshow video chronicling your travels.
Other large travel companies have been reaching out through social media recently. One other of note is KLM's Must See Maps. We're curious as to how much Facebook users are actually interacting with these apps.
