We’ve featured a lot of interactive installations recently, such as Inkspaces, Laser Forest and SONOS Playground. Fiet is a latest interactive sculpture from the Dutch design studio Toer, who are well-known for their experimental approach.

From far way Fiet is reminiscent of a giant water bubble, and from up close it looks and moves like an amoeba. Made from hundreds of cones, the sculpture expands and contracts in response to the noise around it, visualising its impact.  It moves slowly and peacefully when its quiet. It begins to shake vigorously when there is a sudden noise, getting ‘stressed’ like a living organism.

Toer design team are interested in exploring the boundaries of product design, using subtle materials to create memorable works.
