Owning a watch for every occasion is an aspiration many of us entertain, but until that day comes there may be design solution; the new FES Watchgives you a choice of watch faces and straps, all on the same piece.

Designed by Japanese design studio TAKT PROJECT in collaboration with Japanese start-up Fashion Entertainments, who are hoping to ‘create new ways to enjoy digitised fashion,’ the FES Watch is made using electronic paper for the faceplate and strap, allowing for 24 different appearances at the click of the crown. The watch itself takes the traditional form but offers a blank canvas to be paired in keeping with the occasion - the chameleon of the watch world.

It’s interesting to see digitised fashion emerging alongside wearable tech. When the two truly find their respective feet, the inevitable crossovers are what should really bring these ideas to the masses.
