Spot Fergus Henderson, founder of the excellent St John restaurants and recently opened St John Hotel in Tony Grisoni's short film The Pizza Miracle. If you're not familiar with Grisoni's work as a director (this is his third short) then you've certainly heard of his work as a screenwriter, he's behind Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the Red Riding trilogy.   The 22 minute film features Henderson as a chef, and revolves around the life of a young fisherman that loses the ability to decapitate eels (a necessary skill for his livelihood) after being haunted by an image of the Madonna. The Pizza Miracle is a witty, slinky and engaging look at the relationship between father and son through muted colours and prime dialogue.   The Henderson cameo is short and sweet. Reigning supreme as one of our favourite restaurateur’s, his charming offbeat character shines through real quick - if you want to know more about him, be sure to pick the first issue of Port magazine which features an awesome interview with the man himself. Also, we’ve got a Protein Profile film featuring Dan Crowe coming soon. The Founder and Editor of Port magazine gives us a look into his office with plenty of interesting tidbits thrown in for good measure. So, this weekend. Book a table at St John, drink wine, eat “Nose to Tail” then go home and watch The Pizza Miracle. It’s just short enough so you don’t miss anything before sinking into a food coma. Happy Friday.
