Fashion trends start, and then they become mainstream, or branch off into new directions, or simply die as abruptly as they started. A relatively recent trend that's proven fruitful is the marriage of fashion and digital. For example, we've covered projects like TELFAR Style, the Future Catwalk and Alexander McQueen's a/w 2012 campaign, among many others. Fashion and digital's newest 'child', Fashion Remix, was born recently in Austria.

The interactive Windows 8 app allows users to remix looks from Austrian designers on a stop-frame animated rotating disc. The BPM of the accompanying music, provided by Callrider, adjusts accordingly. Visitors to Austria Cultural Foundation’s ‘Another Austria’ exhibition during London Fashion Week can also use the app and see their remix projected in real-time.

Not surprisingly, digital and fashion is a match made in heaven. Don't expect the two to part anytime soon.
