While we snap away on our phones and share our photos with our Instagram followers and Facebook friends straight away, the pictures that we take with our cameras often get forgotten and neglected. We upload them onto our laptops and archive them in hope that we will come back to them eventually. However we rarely do.

Creators of Eternal Light OSX app wanted to do something with all those snaps. The clever app lets anyone create trippy timelapse videos from photos and easily playback, filter, record and edit them with an iPhone or iPad. Users can export a whole folder of still photos from their laptop, turning them into a video clip. With the audio-visual features, images can be synched to a specific soundtrack. They can also be arranged manually to a tempo. When ready, these clips can be saved as QuickTime movies and shared with the rest of the world.

Eternal Light sets free all those mysterious gems from ‘Croatia 2009’ album, and allows to take a trip down memory lane. The creators of the app are currently raising some funds for it on Kickstarter, and the campaign ends in 5 days.

It's interesting that we are seeing more and more tools that let us edit and share media content in brand new ways.
