Berlin-based animation studio Schnellebuntebilder are doing their best J.M. Barrie impression and bringing people's shadows to life in an installation that DHMD in Dresden. Using motion-trackers, lights and smart projections the Epilog installation invites visitors to dance around as their shadows are distorted and manipulated.

They use advanced techniques such as reactive light swarms and virtual fog which, when combined with atmospheric audio, create a disconcerting, otherworldly space. Somewhat similar to the Nimbes installation we looked at last week, Epilog makes intelligent use of projections to experiment with space, sound and movement.
