The Ecolorium boutique develops luxury and eco-friendly lifestyle products catering to conscious consumers who want good design. Started by Elena Corchero, a smart materials and wearables specialist based in London, Ecolorium's first offering is a jewellery range made of Albedonite – a cultivated cloudy white crystal that blushes fuscia when exposed to UV rays.  The jewellery provides a natural reminder of the harmful rays we are exposed to, making the invisible visible.

Wearable technologies like OM Signal Shirt utilise advances in digital technologies to constantly track changes in physical state. In contrast, the Ecolorium range and Hygroskin are examples of a growing band of designers who are looking to pre-existing non-digital materials to illustrate ambient changes. The Ecolorium range and the Good Night Lamp, are part of the Hackney House offering at SXSWI.
