A new high-concept store designed to stimulate each of the five senses
Located in Melbourne, Australia, new concept store DUST is designed to stimulate each of the five senses, immersing visitors in a unique and carefully constructed retail environment.
The space, which opened on 6th December, was designed by Australian design and architecture collective SIBLING, whose aim was to create an environment of structure and continuity, serving as the perfect underground home for the concept label.
The most prominent division of the label, fashion, is housed in the traditional retail section of the store. The pre-collection, designed by head designer Adam Wood, features graphics created both in house and through collaborations with international and national designers. Visitors have the option to purchase a garment from the annex range blank or choose a graphic from the range, which can then be printed on demand in store.
Also contained in the retail section is a fragrance and corresponding musical contribution from Robin Fox. This combination of scent and sound further explored with scented candles inspired by music from Berlin based label Raster Noton.
With a selection of Japanese Tea, Dust Records, a collaboration print with edition and a full clothing range all forthcoming, DUST have engineered a coherent and multi-sensory space to showcase their eclectic and wide ranging products.
