Chris Poole, founder of 4chan and Canvas, wants to harness your inner-doodler with his newest platform, DrawQuest. The iOS app - compatible with iPhone and iPad - aims to reacquaint people with what Poole believes is an inherent desire to scribble, by setting daily challenges or ‘Quests’ that help people tap into their creative side. Examples include illustrating the dream you had the night before or creating your own superhero.

In contrast to Poole’s previous creation, Canvas, which exists as a web-based blank canvas for users to exercise their creativity, DrawQuest is more directional, applying a challenge-response format rather than asking users to start from scratch. The simplicity of this updated format is geared towards fostering a habit - Poole's mission is to have people drawing everyday. There is also a social aspect: users can star and share drawings with others on the network, or watch stroke-by-stroke replays of other drawings, demystifying the creative process and putting everyone's ideas within reach.

DrawQuest is available to download for free from Apple’s App Store via iTunes.
