Habit Streaks encourages you to turn daily tasks into good routines
Good habits can be hard to maintain, especially in a world that expects so much of us. From healthy eating to meditation, there’s now an app for every kind of life-affirming task imaginable, each one promising to make sure you stick to your daily routine. With so much data stored on your phone about how much you do each day, it’s hard to keep up.
Available from the App Store, Streaks allows you to create a list of 6 things that you’d like to turn into habits. From walking the dog to writing fiction, your daily tasks will be monitored. If your chosen task is activity based, Streaks will use your HealthKit data to track your performance. Each time you complete a task, your streak is extended, and if you break the chain, it’s reset to zero days. And let’s face it - zero days of a task you’re supposed to complete everyday doesn’t look great, so Streaks can be really motivating.
Unlike other apps, Streaks allows you to consolidate all of your habit goals into one place, all you need to do is tap a button when your task is complete. You can even schedule ‘skip days’ when certain activities just aren’t feasible. Soon enough your tasks will become habits that you can’t go a day without doing.
