Domino is the latest record label to join drip.fm, a subscription service that delivers new music from chosen imprints straight to your inbox.

Offering a slightly different way to purchase and consume music, drip.fm charges $9.99 a month to receive two albums and bonus material from participating labels such as Stones Throw and Claude von Stroke’s Dirtybird.

With Domino Drip, subscribers will be sent at least one brand new album, and on occasion, a classic from the Domino archive. There’ll also be exclusive bonus material to download alongside the two main outputs. And what’s more, special offers on other Domino products will be thrown in from time to time.

As concentration spans wane and musical landfills grow, it’s re-assuring to see drip.fm and such heavyweight labels taking a step back. By offering the odd history lesson and encouraging their followers to pause and take a chance on something they haven’t been able to make a snap judgement on, they’re offering a more complete and gratifying experience.
