Ever more often the term ‘library’ is associated with technical computer jargon in the place of the traditional establishment that is fast disappearing from our local communities. The Danish typeface designers, e-Types, are bringing it back into the physical realm through the opening of a store selling fonts in Copenhagen. Browse through their selection like books in a library and have your purchase uploaded onto a USB stick instead of receiving the product via email.

The virtual is finally tangible. And this is no less evident in the design house’s presentation of the space itself. To put it simply – it’s not Argos. And so shouldn’t be as the shop’s launch is in connection with the redesign and launch of their online type foundry Playtype - for those of you who aren’t based in Copenhagen. Check out the video -
