Dexter Dalwood uses painting as a medium to deliver virtual realities, taking the superfluous nature of the information society and morphing them into actual images. He may never have seen the places he paints but that doesn't stop him from interpreting Kurt Cobain's greenhouse or McCarthy's living room... and it makes for fascinating work. On Friday you'll get to hear him talk about contemporary painting and culture in the 21st century at the ICA for free. Tate curator Katharine Stout will be in discussion with him so it's looking set to be a good'un. Tickets may be free but you still need to book ahead so call up the ICA box office now to secure a place. Click here for more info.
