Der Kritzler is a small machine that scribbles on windows. Germany-based designer Alex Weber created the machine using motors, pulleys, drivers and other electrical tools. The device follows instructions that are inputted into an open source programming software called Processing. Once the drawing is created in the software, it's sent to the plotting device one command at a time. Der Kritzler (from the German word kritzeln - meaning scribble) then paints on the window. The video above shows the clever little machine in action. It's exciting to see new ways of transferring visual ideas with concepts such as this and the Inkling tablet that we recently featured, that open doors for new creative techniques.
