Dear City 3.0 is a new website that encourages people to comment, rant, explain, applaud and make suggestions about the city they live in. Conceived in 2009 specifically for Copenhagen, founders Mikael Staer and Philip Batin have very recently opened the site up to the rest of world.
Posting a comment is child's play: simply select a topic and fire away - anonymously. Despite there being no particular proscriptions or moderating taking place, topics so far have been overwhelmingly focused on cycling, more specifically ways to improve cycling.
A documentation of contemporary urban life, a platform for discussion and a crowdsourcing of opinions, Dear City 3.0 site provides a brilliant glimpse into the concerns of the urban population. With its interplay of crowdsourcing and play, it bears similarities with Jetpac City Guides.
