English artist Billy Childish will be appearing at the ICA Friday 3rd June for a lunchtime discussion on art, reflecting on the shifts in 21st Century culture shaping the modern art world.

Childish has never been one to pander to convention - he’s renowned for his free-thinking and radical activism have coined his projects across film, painting, writing and music. His collaboration and involvement with Clerkenwell’s alternative creative hub, L-13 Industrial Workshop, is a continuum of their shared ethos to create a truly independent, playful and ‘disruptive betterment of culture’. You can check out their projects, including those with Art Hate, by clicking here.

His experimental and deeply intimate work has earned him a reputation for shattering convention and his insight offers an interesting glimpse into an alternative and counter mode of production.

After the talk Billy will be producing live work using his very own vintage Gestetner Duplicator. The event is free to attend but it’s best to call and book tickets in advance. Artwork is limited to the amount that’ll be produced on the day, if you’re lucky you can get a copy to own for £50.
