Tech company, 3D Systems have launched CubeX Shoes, a service that enables women to download and print their own heels at home, (assuming they have a 3D printer handy). Janne Kyttanean, Creative Director of 3D Systems, designed four different kinds of wedges that can be printed by the company’s Cube X printer over the span of six hours.

Customers may select a free download of one of four designs: the flora-etched Leaf, the angular Facet, the porous Macedonia, and the Classic. For those looking to get into the fashion design game, the Class Shoe serves as a basic file that can be altered by those looking to add a bit of individuality to their footwear. After a design is selected, customers may then select their shoe size, and the colour. The company aims to make further size and customisation options available in the future.

CubeX certainly takes the convenience of online shopping to a whole new level while yet again highlighting the diverse applications of 3D printing.
