At the press of a single button, a receipt printer hacked by French designer Thibault Brevet spews forth the full 4,534 word US Constitution in under 6 seconds.

CONSTI2GO is an intriguing machine with the sole purpose of printing the US Constitution. A brilliant example of a single function device, within seconds anyone can walk away with the fundamental legal rights of the American citizen.

This project was commissioned by Jeff Goldenson as part of the Labrary.bike exhibition at SXSW, a pop-up festival of library experiments. As our connection to information becomes more instantaneous, projects like this keep traditional institutions relevant and at the forefront of our thinking.
