That is if we are to believe the statistics extracted from Pinterest by Danish designers Peter Ørntoft and Mie Frey Damgaard for a data visualisation project in collaboration with Turkish decorative paint brand Jotun.

‘Colour and Space’ explores how colour preferences might vary for different rooms of the home, illustrating a different take on how Pinterest can be used to create branded content.

Jotun is only one of a string of big brands that have realized the potential of Pinterest recently; ASOS did a campaign letting people pin video ads whilst Uniqlo used a more controversial tactic by hacking the social media platform.
