After selling 50,000 units of their first self-monitoring garden systems, Estonian company Click & Grow is introducing the next generation of high-tech planters that help you grow herbs at home.

The Smart Herb Garden relies on a processor, sensors and nanotech artificial soil to provide plants with the right amount of water, oxygen, and nutrients. The seeds and nutrients come in cartridges that can be easily inserted into the device. You just have to plug it in, and the software takes care of the rest. In addition, Click & Grow has built-in a network of LEDs that imitate natural light and improve the photosynthesis process.

Only in a few days after launching a Kickstarter fundraising campaign, Click & Grow has exceeded its $75,000 goal. The smart planters are expected to ship in September.
