Considering how much we rely on our phones it's perhaps surprising how often we get caught short battery-wise. One solution we recently saw was the Donor Cable, a bracelet which allowed you to transfer battery life from one smart phone to another, while also raising awareness for blood donations. Now Microsoft Mobile (formally Nokia, who have recently been bought be the tech giants) are taking a slightly different route and have teamed up with with British menswear fashion designer Adrien Sauvage to introduce the first wire charging designer trousers.

After a series of trial and error attempts Sauvage has finally created a pair of trousers which can charge the Nokia Lumia safely from the pocket without the technology compromising the trousers' comfort. For the moment these trousers are not machine washable, and the idea is still being played with, but it's interesting to see another attempt to bring the worlds of wearable tech and fashion a little closer together. Working alongside fashion designer Sauvage also gives the Microsoft Mobile ( a unique angle introducing fashion to the world of wearable tech.
