Nope, not Bring Your Own Booze. BYOB this time stands for Bring Your Own Beamers, a series of one night exhibitions that presents artists with their projectors. Organiser Rafaël Rozendaal invites anyone to start their own BYOB projects by simply finding an exhibition space, inviting artists to participate, and asking them to bring their own projectors. The idea is that visual art will be thrown onto walls and spaces rather than being restricted to the screens through which we traditionally view digital art.   Rozendaal says about his worldwide project that 'tomorrow information will surround us, composing our surfaces, defining our spaces, emeshing itself with the ether.' It is interesting to see projects like this that promote unconventional ways of displaying imagery, and stamp arts and design into our every day landscape. We hope to see more concepts that blur the lines between art and the viewer and redefine the word exhibition.   The next BYOB event is curated by Israeli designer Ron Arad and is happening at London's Roundhouse on Saturday 13th August.
