We do love it when art and food come together. The Burgermat show is an exhibition at Beach London celebrating the humble hamburger. In June, burger blogger Burgerac teamed up with pop-up project Burger Monday for an event for which he invited 24 of his favourite artists to create burger-themed paper placemats. Now these artworks are being exhibited in a gallery space. Artists and graphic designers involved include fashion brand Lazy Oaf’s Gemma Shiel, Crispin Finn and James Joyce. The Burgermat show is on display at London’s Beach, a dynamic space in Shoreditch that encompasses a gallery, bookshop and cafe. Limited edition prints of the placemats will be up for grabs at reduced prices at the show. The exhibition ends this Sunday, but fear not, prints are on sale online here too.
