To coincide with the launch of the latest Protein Journal, we held a breakfast briefing to share the insight we've gathered on the subject of age

The latest Breakfast Briefing, held on Tuesday 19th May, at Shoreditch House, gave audiences a chance to engage with Protein’s novel insights. Open to all Shoreditch House members, the briefing investigated changing attitudes towards age.

Nowadays, a 60-year-old is as likely to be Chief Creative Officer as an OAP; "Boomers make up 1/3 of the work force and 65% plan to work past the age of 65' explained Sarah Johnson, one of Protein's insight specialists to a well-fed audience. "Nearly 3 in 4 high-school students want to start a business someday." Meanwhile, millennials are increasingly swapping university halls for startup incubators; "3 in 5 members of #GenZ would rather be an entrepreneur than an employee when they graduate from college," continued Johnson.  Experiences are valued over security, taking risks over playing it safe, and can-do attitudes over stereotypes.

A big thank you to all that came down, we'll see you next time.
