Brave New World
Reed + Rader's latest film takes us to a sinister circus in the desert, all built with the Unreal graphics engine.

Reed + Rader are probably (definitely) our favourite purveyors of nostalgic, glitchy, early-internet art. Last time they were over here they transformed our gallery space into a dinosaur jungle wonderland. Their latest fashion film, published by V Magazine, sees the New York duo experimenting with 3D environments and graphics, in a desolate, sinister circus in the desert.
Using the Unreal engine development kit, the film sees a combination of live action models, dressed up as circus performers and freak show 'exhibits', inserted into a Fallout 3-esque, CGI wasteland of circus tents, desert caverns and sky-high tight ropes as the narrator gleefully recounts the spectacles on offer.
