Today, Bompas & Parr have launched an Adventure Hamper especially for the Christmas season at Selfridges.

The duo behind this hamper are Sam Bompas and Harry Parr, famous for their experiential events that merge gastronomy and architecture. Previous endeavours have seen the pair flood the roof of Selfridges with alcohol for visitors to boat across before drinking it and their creation of a flavour changing chewing gum. The hamper is the first product which will bring Bompas & Parr's outlandish events to the home in the most exciting yet practical form. The duo also aim to reestablish the purpose of a hamper by using food to prompt activities reminiscent of excursions.

Adhering to the theme, each one comes with a guidebook and manual to assist the owner's gastronomic experience. Picnic blankets double as flags of conquest and flares are provided for the attention of rescue teams or revellers at a Christmas party. The hamper also includes functional foods such as preserves that aid insects bites, jellyfish stings and altitude sickness.

By launching this product within the Christmas period, a season synonymous with socialising and eating, the hamper is an apt vehicle for Bompas & Parr's concepts to become more attainable and convenient at a time when conversational pieces are desired.
