You know summer's arrived when the launch of the annual Bold Tendencies sculpture show is nearing. Located on the top floor of the disused multi-storey car park in Peckham, the show will run this year from 30th June through to 30th September.

For those who have never been before, Bold Tendencies is an annual sculpture project first launched in 2007 by Hannah Barry, which showcases incredible large-scale pieces from new and up and coming artists. Commited to supporting the vision of artists and actively engaging audiences, Bold Tendencies transforms the concrete wasteland of Peckham's car park into an exciting cultural destination for the public, complete with an awesome temporary bar/restaurant, Frank's, which boasts Campari cocktails and alfresco dining. As of last year, an accompanying Architecture Programme has been commissioned to take place within a unique space built of straw and concrete slabs designed by Practice Architecture .

The artists involved in this year's sculpture show include Laura Buckley, Sarah Cain, Carter Mull, Peles Empire, Mary Redmond and Martin Westwood. Combined with a roster of  music, dance, theatre, film and literary events, it's a must-go destination this summer (there's even talk of a Bold Tendencies Orchestra).

Based on last years success, this is not to be missed! Hope to see you all at the opening on June 30th.
