To celebrate New Zealand's brightest musicians, ten local artists were given a uniquely printed platform where they could be heard.

Looking for an innovative way to mark New Zealand Music Month, Beck's partnered with Shine to design a playable poster. To promote these musicians, in partnership with the New Zealand Music Commission, ten artists were asked to record a new track.

Shine combined graphic design with technology and interactivity to create the posters, with each playing one of the ten commissioned songs. Special conductive ink was used to print the designs, responding to electrical currents from the body and making the posters playable with a simple tap of the finger. This embedded ink was linked to an attached speaker, reverberating and turning the posters into a speaker.

The use of conducting ink appears to be on the rise, finding interesting new applications in education with MusicInk and in art with a poster that was also a musical instrument.
