Dutch designers Maarten Heijties and Simon Akkaya of Waarmakers fame, have collaborated with InHolland and sustainable transport company Van.Eko to produce the world's most eco-friendly scooter. Be.e is a biocomposite, electric scooter that's built from compressed plants.

Taking inspiration for its structural support from the natural design of the egg shells, the scooter is held together by a combination of flax and bio-resin, which sounds a little risky considering it can reach speeds of 60km/h. We've seen a flux of designs that use natural, sustainable materials, the Paper Pulp Helmet, for example, as well as Studio Swine's Sea Chair, however the Be.e Scooter is perhaps packing the most horsepower.
