Recently we've seen an abundance of creative ways new music is presented to fans. Interactive videos from the likes Arcade Fire, Bruno Mars and Kanye West have all made waves in how they connect with the viewer/listener by giving them a chance to control, to a greater or lesser extent, the direction of the video.

Taking a slightly different approach to audience involvement, a recent collaboration between musicians Toddla T, Roses Gabor and drinks brand Barcadi engaged listeners in two interesting ways. Rather than being able to listen to the whole track straight away, the first part of Bacardi Beginnings: BPM saw the duo's the latest song, Pandora's Box, being gradually released beat by beat, with more becoming available as it received Facebook Likes and Tweets. However, thanks to their fans' enthusiasm, it only took an hour for the full song to be available to stream online.

The second, and perhaps more significant, part of the project challenged fans to remix the track using downloadable tools, and then submit their remix into a competition. The winning entry will be played at a special Bacardi event as well as the victor having a one-on-one production tutorial with Toddla T himself.
