This April sees Los Angeles MOCA host Art in the Streets, an exhibition showcasing influential artists who have emerged from street culture in the context of contemporary art history. See the likes of Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quiñones and Shepard Fairey as well as greats like Jean-Michel Basquiat and newcomer Blu. Covering the movement from 1970’s to present day and with dedicated sections to cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture, Art in the Streets highlights Los Angeles' role in the evolution of street art. Alongside the exhibition see the Nike SB skate team hold demonstrations.

Art in the Streets runs from April 17 – August 8 2011 at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA.
