Amazon Dash
Amazon launches a remote-shaped device that might change the way you shop for groceries.
Shopping for groceries can be stressful and time-consuming, and sometimes we forget to buy the item we went to the store for in the first place. To make this task more convenient, Amazon has launched a remote-shaped device called Amazon Dash.
The Wi-Fi enabled device features a barcode reader, which allows users to quickly scan household goods, and also a microphone to verbaly add items to their AmazonFresh shopping cart. The basic idea behind this handheld gadget is that you can now refill your pantry with the right products the moment you are running low on them. Furthermore, Dash isn’t limited to just groceries, it recognizes most of the items available on Amazon.com. And you can schedule the goods to be delivered at your doorstep the same day without charge, if the order is placed before 10am.
But there’s a catch: the current device trial is by invitation only, targeted to AmazonFresh Prime members, a service that costs $300 per year and that is available in few cities.
