Energy drink brand Gatorade has created a video featuring BMX rider Nigel Sylvester as he takes us for a cruise around San Francisco’s Bay Area. The video, part of the brand's All Day Sessions, offers a glimpse into the life of the BMX star, showing him riding around the hilly streets that San Francisco is famed for. The Bay area, typically associated with its underground, 808-heavy hip-hop scene and hyphy dance movement, creates the sunny west coast backdrop for this video which showcases Sylvester’s effortless skills. The soundtrack in the clip is a song by LA based rapper Dom Kennedy, who has a cameo in the video where he performs at the streetwear store Benny Gold. This is the final edit in the three-part series from Gatorade which previously traveled to New Orleans and Miami to follow Sylvester. It is interesting to see how the energy drink is tapping into local scenes and promoting sporting culture in this video project.
