Dazed Digital is inviting people to disclose their most exciting experiences and cherished memories of East London over the past 15 years in order to map an alternative history of the area.

On the back of the magazine’s May issue, which ponders whether East London is dead, Dazed Digital is looking to archive the people, movements and places that colluded to make the area what it is today.

But they don’t want to hear it from journalists or PRs, they want to hear it from individuals who were there from the start or chipped in along the way. They want to get to the underground roots with flyers, artwork, photos, names of pubs, clandestine warehouse parties and any other artefacts and shenanigans associated with the tapestry of East London.

Much like the Hackney Hear app we wrote about last month, it’s great to see Dazed helping curate East London as well as getting involved in the mapping, and memory-making trends.
