IOTORAMA is a new project that aims to shine a light on the Internet of Things
Created by new London based creative agency Alpha-ville, IOTORAMA is a web based experiment that lets users play through a game-like interface of colours and soundscapes, linking shapes together. When the shapes combine, the user discovers ‘Internet Of Things’ related projects including Mother, an intuitive robot smart home hub, Bond a bracelet that lets you tickle your partner from afar and Wearable Solar, a solar powered dress by Pauline Van Dongen.
“In line with Alpha-ville’s forward thinking ethos, IOTORAMA proposes an active approach to technology and in particular to the Internet of Everything, questioning the way we are designing the world of tomorrow” say Estela Oliva and Carmen Salas, Alpha-ville directors. IOTORAMA is unique in the sense that it is the first digitally led exhibition that is trying to demystify the Internet Of Things concept, using cutting edge graphics and soundscapes to make the IOT engaging and accessible to all.
IOTORAMA is aesthetically inspired by the shapes and colours of the Bauhaus. IOTORAMA’s interface is comprised of a constellation of beautiful animations and audio which provide a fresh approach to the world of IoT and challenge traditional interface design and navigation.
Our recent Observation on The Internet Of Places also explores how the Internet Of Things is changing the way we interact with smart objects, challenging concepts of location and identity in an increasingly connected world.
