The Olympics are in full swing and as a result a whole host of interesting cultural activities are popping up around the city. One such event taking place at the new Tate Tanks is 'City Symphony', a collaborative project from East London's ISYS and community radio station NTS, tracing a day in the life of London through sounds and video footage.

ISYS Archive will take to the streets for the duration of the Olympics filming young people, while NTS have curated a programme of music from their network of musicians and collaborators. The resulting evening event will include live performances, film screenings and an audio soundtrack from artists, singers, poets and MCs. As ISYS explains, 'At a moment when all eyes are on London, the soundtracked documentary film examines the use of style and culture as tools for identification and belonging among British Youth today, and takes the viewer on a journey through the young heart of the city to depict a slice of London life otherwise unseen.'

Running on Friday 24 August 2012, 19.00 – 21.30, check out the video above for more information.
