Diverging once again from their somewhat stuffy heritage, Paris-based luxury label Hermés has entered the ever-contracting space between fashion and technology with 8 Ties, an interactive digital art project.

Designed by Miguel Chevalier and scored by Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, the project exists as a traveling A/V installation and also as a shop-able interactive microsite with users able to purchase all the ties seen. Both feature the 8-bit inspired patterns used in Hermés' new line of ties.

There's no shortage of fashion brands leaning on digital these days (see ASOS, Alexander McQueen) but it's always nice to see the combination done well.
