#698 | Diffused Narratives, Dirty Words & Crypto Utopia
It’s the last Supplement of 2022 … how did that happen!?
Last month, we launched a reader survey to find out more about you, our wonderful readers, and how we can make this newsletter even better. We had over 250 responses and we’re right in the middle of some amazingly insightful follow-up interviews, so keep an eye on our Twitter for the full results in a week or so.
In the meantime, make sure you get a copy of our Ownership Report and help us decide which Dirty Word we do next.
Finally, Protein Community will be going into silent night mode from 22nd December till 4th January and Protein Supplement will be back again on 3rd February 2023, so wishing you all a restful, happy, and vibey break 💫
Let’s get on with the links:

SMALL PRINT
Protein is a place where people and ideas grow 🌱 We do this through our global community, agency, and studio space. We believe we’ve all got a responsibility to think and act bigger than ourselves and that good growth can only be achieved by balancing progress, profit, and purpose.
Yes, we really have published 698 issues of this newsletter. As already mentioned above, the first Protein Supplement was sent on 17th September 1997 to 14 people and (other than a few breaks over the years) has always aimed to distill what’s happening at the intersection of culture and technology into a concise and accessible digest. If you’re interested in digging into the (incomplete) archive, you can here.
You can also find us on Discord, Mirror, Twitter, and Insta. We always like to hear from you and how we can improve what we do, so if you want to get in touch about anything, please use this form.
