5 Every Day
A new events app caps its recommendations at 5 per day, limiting suggestions to the bare, need-to-know essentials
Our recent Protein Audience Survey revealed that 84% of the audience read online guides before going on holiday. But 57% felt overwhelmed by the amount of information they consume online.
It's easy to understand why – with the sheer volume of websites, blogs, social media and content channels available at the click of the button it's not easy for consumers to get a sense of what content they should be reading, and what the need-to-know information really is.
A new app from design studio Public Library, 5 Every Day, aims to strip back the online clutter and content overload by offering an easy to digest listings site for those in LA. The app only posts five events happening in the city each day structured within five categories – art, city, food music and wildcard. Five new events appear every day with no past or future events listed. It's a limited, easy to digest guide to the city on any given day.
Like Offline magazine, it's interesting to see projects that can offer at least some respite from our daily content overload.
